I am passionately dedicated to providing veterinary options for my patients' health and longevity, unifying my clinical background in Western medicine and surgery with Eastern medicine practices and complementary modalities.

I take my time to ensure my clients understand their diagnostic and treatment options, and provide additional resources whenever possible to complete the wholistic approach.  My patients include four-legged family members and top-level competition partners, and they all deserve to be maximally healthy and pain-free.

I am a 2002 Washington State University Honors Veterinary Medicine Graduate, with dual B.S. degrees with Honors in Animal Sciences and Veterinary Sciences from WSU. After graduating with my DVM, I completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Canada, and then returned to private small animal practice in the San Francisco Bay Area, focusing on general medicine and orthopedics.
After spending time in a traditional fast-paced small animal practice focusing on medicine and surgery, I started to shift my
education back to my passion - understanding holistic and rehabilitation options for horses. I                                                        attended the Healing Oasis Wellness Center to graduate in Veterinary Spinal                                                                                      Manipulative Therapy, followed by attending human massage school in Tranformational Bodywork,                                            simultaneously achieving my Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist from Chi University in Gainesville,                                            FL. I became the Technical Director for United Infrared and EquineIR, developing and implementing their Equine Thermography education program and providing image interpretation services.
Following my interests in human well-being and mental health, I have completed the rigorous Veterinary Human Support Certificate from the University of Tennessee, and am a Lead Trainer for Emotional-CPR, a crisis intervention public health program. I have had a Vipassana meditation practice since 2004, and completed a year-long teacher certification. I am currently a Master's Student in Health Communications at the University of Illinois with a special interest in Health Literacy and Access to Care.
I have always had an intuitive sense with animals. Animal communication has come naturally and
I am excited to be pursuing formal training so I can better offer this service for my clients and their
beloved animals both here and passed.
I have many years' experience as a Les Mills Advanced Group Fitness Instructor and also a Krav Maga
instructor.  I enjoy coaching people to challenge their limiting beliefs, to build community, and
bringing people together to do things they never thought possible with the support of friends and peers.

Oh - and I helped develop a street dog medicine program in Myanmar...but that's a story for a different day.

My horse Nevan and I compete in Western Dressage and have achieved three State and Regional Championships and Two National Championships with one Reserve!
