Integrated Soundness Solutions (sm)
This horse was a wonderful cross. Unfortunately, I do not have a BEFORE
picture of this gelding, who was in a saddle way too big for his back, and was
very sore.  HOWEVER, NOTE THE DUST PATTERN TO THE RIGHT. The
dust indicates the pattern from his previous plantation saddle, which extended
well beyond the 18th rib, and impinged on his croup.

The signs that resulted included head tossing, inverted back, sore to
palpation. Reluctance to go forward. As soon as he was placed in a saddle
that fit, he stretched long and low, licked and chewed, and was able to
engage more correctly.

He is a good example of the whole horse approach, however, as merely
changing the saddle will help, but will not reverse the damage done by the
previous saddle. Here's where acupuncture, bodywork, stretches, and
chiropractic can all help this horse return to sound function.
